Learnerships & Skills Enhancement

The Rand Skills Enhancement Centre provides students with the opportunity to develop skills in engineering trades through a winning program that delivers nationally recognised competencies including merSETA accreditation for electricians, welders, instrumentation tube fitting and analyser technicians.

Apart from this we also offer enhancement skills such as short form courses in basic hand skills, basic welding, basic electrical and basic tube fitting skills. In line with our focused specialist expertise and project delivery to our customers, we also offer an advanced instrument tube fitting curriculum.

The well-equipped Skills Enhancement Centre provides students with the opportunity to gain their trade specific skills, in an environment that fosters safe work practices, work ethics and team work. Skills Centre students work towards competencies that save off the job training time in their apprenticeship and gain ‘work ready’ skills that are highly sought after by employers.

The Skills Centre program lays down the foundation for an engineering trade career.
