For many years, The Rand Skills Enhancement Centre has provided employees and now a wider pool of students, with the opportunity to develop Welding skills in engineering trades through a program that delivers nationally recognised competencies.
The Rand Skills Enhancement Centre facilities include a practical welding school with state-of-the-art welding bays, fully equipped classrooms.

It is a certainty that all buildings and plants in the modern world have an electrical power, communications, lighting, and control system that is installed during construction and maintained thereafter. In turn the high demand for competent and professional electricians is an ongoing reality.
At the Rand Skills Enhancement Centre facilities, students are taught the full range of Electrical skills that include reading blueprints or technical diagrams, installing and maintaining wiring, control, and lighting systems; Identifying electrical problems with a variety of testing devices; Repairing or replacing wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools and inspecting and installing electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers in accordance with state and local building regulations.

The Rand Skills Enhancement centre programme, equips students with the essential skills, knowledge and qualifications required to design, manufacture and fabricate complex liquid and gas analyser systems.
Our course covers the basic principles of operation of an Analyser to the maintenance and calibration of Analysers. Students also gain insight into effectively managing and mitigating risks through advanced fault finding and safety standards of working with hazardous chemicals.

Qualified Instrument Tube fitters typically install and repair tube and pipe systems used in process plants . Instrument fitters also install Impules lines and sample conditioning systems which are ultimately required to control a process plant.
